The New World

Not that many years ago the country now called the United States was commonly referred to as the “The New World”.   That is because it was in pristine condition, it appeared untouched by mankind.   Although there is great diversity between the 573 tribes and villages most with their own language, culture, and history.   Yet almost universally, the indigenous people, Native Americans considered the air/wind, water, and earth sacred.   Only taking that which was needed and wasted virtually nothing.

Killing simply for sport or for the sake of commerce were alien concepts known to be devoid of understanding.   To do so would be unsustainable and against common sense.   They were called heathens and savages by those who had already disrespected the air, water, soil, and life.   Yet, they for thousands of years their values kept this land in perfect condition. Our founding fathers, mothers, and settlers would have died those first winters without the help from Native Americans who were living a life in harmony with the world around them.
